Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn will attend the mid-term ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on July 13-14 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The video conference will be held under the theme “non-aligned movement at the center of multilateral efforts in responding to global challenges.”

The conference will provide an opportunity for NAM member states to review the progress made on issues related to the NAM agenda since the 2019 summit in Baku, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on July 12.

The NAM member states will be able to discuss and exchange views about the role of NAM in responding to the growth of challenges more effectively, it said.

“His Excellency Prak Sokhonn’s statement will be centered on how to address global challenges through cooperative multilateral efforts,” said the statement.

Sokhonn’s statement will also focus on strengthening the values of multilateralism and international cooperation, achieving sustainable development and prosperity for humanity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Cambodia’s stance on multilateralism for peace.
